  • Create a portable file and save it in the local C drive.
  • Close the company file and restore the portable file by saving it to the server.
  • After that choose your company file and access it from your server.

Method 3: Manually Resolve Error 6177

  • Make a right-click on ND file and choose Delete.
  • Arrange QuickBooks Database Manager:

    3. For Windows 8 users, press the Windows key and search for QuickBooks Database Manager and click on it.

  • Repeat the previous steps and then click the Scan button.
  • Verify the company file access permission in Windows by going to “Set up Folder permissions” to share a file web page.
  • If QuickBooks is installed, turn hosting off and back on. Then open the company file for which the error was shown, through the local path.
